SNACKS IAM GORGING OFLATE!
Iam a huge snacker. I believe if you are hungry don’t
punish your rumbling belly, and just go ahead and have a bite.
The trick is to be ‘Mindful’. Treat
each snack as a mini meal and simply relish the flavours of the food without getting busy with any sort of multi tasking.
Resisting the urge to reach for a burger, candy or
chips when you are hit with a snack attack can make a big difference in your
health – regardless of your age.
And having a game plan, however, can turn those
grab-and-go moments into opportunities to eat well, conquer our worst urges,
and pump up our energy.
Here’s a list of the healthy snacks iam currently filling
my belly with. Have a look!
Apples
The old an apple-a-day advice is still
very much alive and i often keep one in my bag during the day. It’s loaded with
pectin to help you feeling full for a longer time. Try adding tablespoon of
peanut butter to get that extra power of protein.
Hard
boiled eggs
Eggs are the best food for
any time of the day and an excellent on-the-go protein source. Easy to carry in
your little zippy bags to grab as you run out the door.
Nuts
Raw and unsalted nuts are
a good source of healthy fats and protein to balance blood sugar levels, keep
energy levels up throughout the day, and feel full and focused.
Makhana
roasted in ghee with rock salt
Makhanas are a good source
of protein, carbohydrates, phosphorous and iron. Being high in fibre and low in
calories, it enables weight loss
Dark Chocolate
This treat boost brain health and enhance
mood. It also curbs cravings for both sweet and salty foods.
